What is the pairing process for the reflex?

To pair the Reflex-

  1. Remove the tracker from the band and take note of the MAC ID imprinted on the bottom.   The MAC ID will be a combination of 4 letters / numbers.
  2. Dock the tracker to the charging cable and plug it into a powered USB port.   The LED light should begin flashing indicating that it is charging.  This also initiations listening for the pairing process.
  3. Open the App and register your account.  Once registered the App should being a pairing process.   The App will scan for devices that are in range.  Most times you should just see one device and the MAC ID will match what is imprinted on the back of the tracker.  However if you see more than on ID be sure to select the one that matches.
  4. The tracker should vibrate once communication between the App and devices initiates.
  5. Wait a few seconds and unplug the tracker from the power source.   You should get a success message and complete the pairing.

My Samsung / Android bluetooth will not stay connected to the reflex.

The Reflex is designed to log and store all movement and sleep data within the onboard memory.  When you open your Reflex app the bluetooth will sync and download all the data then disconnect.  The bluetooth connection does not stay active, doing so would only drain the battery faster.   It is normal to see the Reflex disconnect once a sync is completed.

My Samsung phone will not connect to the reflex (Android 6.0.1 on Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S5, and Galaxy Note 4 users).

Since the release of 6.0.1 there have been many reported issues with Samsung devices not being able to connect.  Since the start of 2017 Samsung has released numerous OS updates.   Please be sure your phone is up to date.  Go to Settings - About Device - Software Update.   Please be sure you have all the latest updates installed.  Once your phone updates please check again for updates, there are more than one update available.

When I go to my bluetooth settings to pair, I do not see the REflex or I cannot connect?

Older traditional bluetooth devices, like cars, headphones, speakers, etc - they would pair through your phones - settings - bluetooth section.  However the Reflex uses Bluetooth 4.0 technology and does not need to pair via your phone settings.  All the pairing is done through the App.  Just open the Fitincluded Reflex app and follow the steps to register.  Once complete the pairing process will begin.

MY REFLEX IS CURRENTLY PAIRED WITH MY PHONE, I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE TO USE/TRY. HOW CAN THEY USE THE REFLEX IF IT IS LINKED ONLY TO MY DEVICE?

The Reflex is actually paired to an Account.  If you login into your account from another phone the Reflex can connect and and sync data.   However, if you want to reset the Reflex back to new so another user can use it – you will need to disconnect it from your account first.   To disconnect your Reflex – open your FitIncluded Reflex app and log into your account.   In the upper right corner, you should see a battery icon.  Click on the icon and select Un-Pair/Disconnect Once disconnected the reflex can be used again.

MY REFLEX Seems to constantly disconnect...is it supposed to do that?

The Reflex will store all the activity data on the band until you sync.   When you sync your band the Reflex transfers the data to your phone.  Once complete the Reflex will disconnect.  The Reflex does not need to stay connected.  This is done to preserve the battery life and is one of the reasons why the Reflex can last so long between charges.

My Reflex seems to be dead.  When I charge it the light does not flash or I can no longer sync with my smart phone.

Before determining the Reflex is dead – lets try to reset / reboot the device.  Dock the reflex into the charging cable and begin charging like normal.   Using a paper clip – press the reset button which is hidden in a small hole on the back of the charging dock.  The Reflex needs to be plugged in and charging during this process.  This will reboot the tracking brain and should recover it from any “stuck” modes.  If there is still no light and it cannot pair with your smart phone – please contact support@fitincluded.com for further help.

I am running android 6.0 marshmallow and my reflex app cannot connect to my device or i cannot see any devices when i try to pair?

As of the Marshmallow release, Google has changed the permissions required for Bluetooth 4.0 syncing (https://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html#behavior-hardware-id). Location service must be turned on as of the Android 6.0 update in order to sync.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SYNC YOUR REFLEX TO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS?

No, each Reflex can only sync with one account. If you need to sync the Reflex with a new account, you must disconnect from the original account and sync it again with the new account.

How do I know if the reflex is connecting to my device?

Open the App and pull down the home screen.  This will manually initiate communication with the Reflex.  In the upper right corner, you should see the battery icon.  If this turns green you are connected.

THE REFLEX IS NOT CONNECTING AND NONE OF MY DATA CAN BE SYNCHRONIZED, HOW DO I FIX THAT?

  1. Make sure the Reflex is fully charged. (Note: The light will flash when it needs to be charged.  While charging the light will flash and turn solid once fully charged.)
  2. Close the app completely. This is done by going to Menu – Exit Now– and select Exit Now.  Then manually close the app from the background.  On iOS double tap your home button and swipe the Reflex App.   On Android select the background Apps and swipe right or left to remove / close it.
  3. Reset your Bluetooth by turning it off and back on.
  4. Check your device's network and confirm that it is connected and you can access it.
  5. Completely restart you device.

IF I GET A NEW smart phone CAN I STILL USE THE REFLEX?

Yes, simply download the FitIncluded Reflex App and install it.  When opening the app the first time instead of registering a new account – simply login with your current user name and password.   Go to Menu – More – Sync Data.  This will download all your past data to your new device.  (This can be a slow process if you have had your Reflex for a long time.)

WHY DOES IT TAKE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE APP TO REFLECT MY EXERCISE?

The bracelet records data in 30 second intervals. so the last 30 seconds of motion data can't be reflected. Wait 30 seconds and then sync and it should reflect your exercise.

WHY WASN'T YOUR NAP REFLECTED IN THE SLEEP TIME?

If you sleep for less than one hour the bracelet does not record the data.

HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST IN THE REFLEX PILL?

The Reflex uses low power Bluetooth 4.0 and can last up to 21 days between charges.   Battery life is affected by how often you use the vibration alerts (alarms, reminders, awards). Recharging the Reflex to full charge takes between 45 minutes and an hour.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN TO CHARGE YOUR REFLEX PILL?

When your pill is at less than 10% battery life it will vibrate once. Using the charging dock cable - plug the Reflex into a computer or any mobile USB port to charge it. A flashing light indicates charging and when the light turns solid, it is fully charged.

WHY IS YOUR BRACELET OUT OF POWER BUT IT DOESN'T VIBRATE TO REMIND YOU?

If the vibration settings are turned off within the app, the Reflex pill will not vibrate to alert you.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE REFLEX IS COMPLETELY OUT OF POWER?

If you run the battery down to 0% (the light completely stops flashing), all the data inside the pill will be lost. You will need to charge it completely and then connect with your device to re-sync the settings.

WHY DOES YOUR REFLEX VIBRATE 3 TIMES?

This is a sedentary reminder letting you know that you have moved less than 60 steps in the last hour. This feature is on by default, but you can turn it off.  Go to Menu – Inactivity Alerts

YOU WALKED A FEW STEPS BUT YOU STILL RECEIVED THE BRACELET SEDENTARY REMINDER, WHY IS THAT?

The Reflex monitors activity over the last hour, and if you have taken less than 60 steps it will still give you the sedentary reminder.

HOW DO YOU SET THE ALARM CLOCK?

In the app, choose the Alarm tab. Make sure the alarm function is turned on (red), touch the alarm icon to set the time/date, press Save.

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO SYNC THE DATA?

You should sync the pill and the app at least 1-2 times a day so it has the opportunity to record all the data it has logged for the day.

DO YOU NEED TO MANUALLY SWITCH THE SPORT AND SLEEP MODES?

No, the Reflex will do that automatically.

AFTER DOWNLOADING THE APP IT DOESN'T START PROPERLY, WHAT DO YOU DO?

Uninstall the app and then reinstall it. If you still have this issue please contact support@fitincluded.com for further assistance.

WHAT IS PRIVACY SETTING?

In the Menu-More section - there is a setting called “Privacy Setting” - the default for this is “off” which allows the community of reflex users to find and follow your profile and shares your daily step totals to those that follow you. Turning ON the privacy setting will essentially hide your profile from everyone in the Reflex community.
